The Botanic Garden of Bogotá (José Celestino Mutis) was founded in 1955, due to the botanic expedition, one of the most important expeditions of the XVIII century, it had a period of 33 years, where 20,000 plants and 7,000 animals where cataloged.
In my opinion the botanic garden is a great place to visit because you get to know Colombia’s flora a little bit more and you can see beautiful and incredible plants and trees and also is really cheap so you can do all this easily.
